Wudase Akalewold | Ethiopia Wudase Akalewold has more than eight years of experience in HIV prevention and treatment. Currently, Wudase is clinical mentor coordinator at AIDS Health Care Foundation Ethiopia and focuses on mentoring and supervision, quality improvement, differentiated service delivery for marginalized clients, and community outreach services to promote HIV clinic uptake and chronic care retention. She volunteers as a board member at the Center for Community Leadership, a civil society organization. She has organized drama group tours and youth center events to increase awareness of HIV among the most vulnerable youth in slum areas of Addis Ababa. Wudase holds a doctorate in Medicine, a master's degree in Public Health, and a diploma in Executive Community Leadership. She is passionate about improving societal and reproductive health service disparities through civic engagement to eradicate the HIV epidemic from its roots. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Wudase plans to expand her work on behavioral intervention for youth on HIV prevention and testing.
